They want to uninstall and reinstall different versions.

I've been fighting this and getting no real help from Adobe support. I don't want to give users admin privileges' just to run Adobe Acrobat DC standard. However, it will work if run by an admin.

The program will only open once for a user, it looks like it is crashing on subsequent attempts due to an update or something. Like you, I'm at an accounting firm and there are add-ins. If it does, then in Adobe, got to Edit, Preferences and Security Enhanced and uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" Apply this setting You may want to remove all add-ins from the path, C:\program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobatxx\Acrobat\plug_insĬopy and paste them to a temporary folder, then delete them from that path and see if Adobe will open. I've run in to this situation and the problem for us was an add-in that was installed from one of our tax and accounting programs. I have repeated this with 4 new imaged computers and 4 new profiles. It seems that the Adobe program has to be installed under the end-users account instead of with the base image as we have done in the past.

I ended up having to install the plug-ins again. Now to make sure the plug-ins for Adobe are working. After closing the program I opened another program like MS Word. So I closed the program and relaunched it to see if it would reopen. I went to Edit > Preferences > Security Enhanced to check to see if "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" was checked and it is not. From there I was able to login as the end-user into Adobe Acrobat. Then I was able to install a fresh copy of the Adobe Acrobat DC Pro. In order for me to check the recommended settings from jeffbrubaker I had to completely uninstall the Adobe program from the machine as well as delete ALL of the Adobe folders in C:\Program Files\, C:\Program Files (x86) and APPDATA for all users. Okay I have had a chance to look at the Adobe issue once again. My question is: Has anyone else run into this issue and if so what have you done to fix the problem?

Acrobat Pro 64-bit will not run some of our vendor plug-ins. We are required to have Acrobat Pro 32-bit. It does not matter if it is an older Windows machine (been in service for a year) or a fresh out of the box and fresh image. It does not matter if the anti-virus is on or off.

The eight machines are Dell with Windows 10 Pro 圆4-bit. They have been able to make that work once out of eight machines with this issue. They have cleared the registry of All Adobe products and install fresh from a download off of Adobe site. So maybe if I am luck in 2 days a new tech will call (not a senior tech) and repeat the same process with the same results and comments. They will call in 24 to 48 hours to help fix the issue. Then they say we have to escalate the issue to a senior tech. They have tried a couple different versions. They end up spending two to three hours on these steps while remoted in. So they will remote in to look at it and do the same steps three or four times trying to get it to work. Turn off the anti-virus, again does not help. Their first comment is to uninstall and reinstall the program. I have opened several tickets with Adobe Support and getting no where fast. Close it in task manager and repeat the process same results. But you can go into Task manager and see it is now running. They get a spinning wheel for about 30 seconds to a minute and then nothing. We have started seeing an issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro 22.1 32-bit for couple months now, where when the end user goes to launch either the program or open a PDF.
